2. Hosting and server log files

When you access this website, the hosting provider automatically records information that your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name, time of the request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of this website.

3. Cookies and local storage

This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies and uses no analytics service. Only the following entries are stored in your browser:

  • roni-consent — your cookie decision. Local storage, no expiry, no personal data. Purpose: not to ask again on every visit.
  • NEXT_LOCALE — the language you last chose. Cookie, one year, technically necessary so the site opens in the right language.
  • roni_session — only in the administration area, only for our own staff. Cookie, eight hours, technically necessary for login.

You can change or withdraw your decision at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page. Withdrawal takes effect immediately and applies to the future. The legal basis for the technically necessary entries is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, for the map Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

4. Contact forms and enquiries

If you send us an enquiry using the contact form, the quote request or the kitchen planner, we store the details you provide (name, email address, telephone number, company, message and the answers given in the planner) in order to process your enquiry. We also store the IP address and browser identifier of the request in order to defend against misuse.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and, where the enquiry concerns a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

The data is stored in our own database and additionally sent by email to the responsible members of staff. For that dispatch we use ZunaSend as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR; the content of the enquiry passes through that service. It is deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with in full and no statutory retention periods apply — as a rule after six months, in the case of a contract after the statutory retention periods of up to ten years.

5. Recipients and processors

We pass data on only where it is necessary to run this website. The following services are involved, each bound by a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR:

  • Hosting — operation of the server on which this website and its database run. Server location: Germany.
  • ZunaSend — dispatch of the notification emails generated by the forms.

A transfer to third countries outside the EU does not take place, with the exception of Google Maps if you consent to it (see below).

6. Maps

The contact page shows a map from OpenStreetMap. It is operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. Loading the map transmits your IP address to that server; no cookies are set and no profile is created. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in showing visitors where we are. Further information: osmfoundation.org.

If Google Maps is used instead, it loads only after you have actively agreed. Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland then receives your IP address and may set cookies; data may be transferred to servers in the USA. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are delivered from our own server. No connection to external font services is established when you visit.

8. Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it rectified (Art. 16), erased (Art. 17) or its processing restricted (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, an informal message to the address above is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

9. SSL/TLS encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
